Round 1: The Elimination Rounds

Welcome to the Grammar Takedown, where the world's top grammatical minds gather to compete for the Golden Comma award.

First up, we have our 10 contestants in the elimination rounds. Each will have 10 minutes to write a sentence using 5 grammatical concepts.

The concepts are:

• Subject-verb agreement
• Verb tense consistency
• Sentence structure
• Word choice
• Punctuation usage

Our judges will score on a scale of 1-100, with 100 being perfect.
