Memorandum No. 42

Regarding: The Inefficiency of the New World

By Order of the Colonial Governor-General, 1725.

We, the undersigned, have deemed the new world to be a most confounded and befuddling place. The inhabitants, while seemingly friendly, are woefully uncoordinated in their daily lives.

WHEREAS, the colonists have demonstrated an utter lack of initiative and a propensity for procrastination, WE, the Colonial Governor-General, hereby decree:

  1. That the colonists shall establish a strict schedule, forthwith, for the purpose of increasing productivity.
  2. That all colonists are required to wear matching uniforms, to promote a sense of unity and discipline.
  3. That the colonists shall henceforth refer to each other as "Good Sirs" and "Good Madams", to maintain an atmosphere of respect and decorum.

By order of the Colonial Governor-General, this 15th day of May, 1725.
